Pragmatism is now required – also non-members are welcome to take part. We boost AM!
We are going to share all information made available to us regarding concrete needs plus define the necessary framework conditions and requirements for materials.

Dear 3D printing community,
we were completely overwhelmed by the great amount of feedback to support the recent request raised by the European Commission (to help to overcome the Corona crisis). Over 250 companies from all industries including automotive and sportswear have replied to offer support, materials and capacities in fighting the Corona virus.
Thank you for that!
All proposals are currently being reviewed and validated by the European Commission to who – with the support of the VDI – those have been forwarded to during the last days and hours. It is intended that upon specific demand the European Commission is going to contact the relevant companies directly.
However, we currently witness that there seems to be a delay in responding or shortage. This is why we decided to move on and use the positive energy to bundle forces in good sense.
Companies/persons with 3D printing capabilities
We are very pleased that you have volunteered to help fighting Corona with your business potential. Time is now key to counteract the spread of the Corona virus as quickly as possible. Condensed information providing an overview will help manufacturers identifying potential partners for different applications in a fast way.
To support this, we kindly ask you to specify the technologies, materials and ideas available for implementation in the following table:
A similar form is available for clinics and customers who need solutions. This will enable us to match-make more efficiently and shorten long screening processes. Please note that it is not obligatory to fill your data. Also, please decide for yourself what information you would like to disclose.
Companies/institutions in need for a 3D printed product or part:
Our 3D printing community is ready to support and to fight the spread of the Corona virus. We thank you for reaching out and the trust you have placed in us.
In order to being able to quickly implement solutions, we need some basic background details to make matches with relevant partners – please fill your data here:
The more information we have, the easier it will be for us to find the right provider. Moreover, we are also happy to assist with finding solutions if the ideas are not yet as specific.
Please note that our network has no commercial interest. Contractual arrangements are subject to agreements between supplier and customer.

Dear 3D printing community,
we were totally overwhelmed by the huge offer of help that was made on our last mail two days ago.
Over 190 companies from all industries including automotive and sportswear have signed up to offer support, materials and capacity in the fight against the corona virus.
The post referred to a recent request from the European Commission. The Commission is currently evaluating the offers and is approaching the companies that have contacted the vdi directly separately. Apparently there seems to be a bottleneck in the number of contacts.
We would like to go a step further and use the positive energy to bundle capacities in a sensible way.
To this end, we have decided to use our Medical goes Additive working group meeting planned for next week specifically as a 3D printing pandemic task force. We are thus opening the virtual working group meetings next week to non-members as well.
At the same time, we are approaching the companies that have contacted us directly to request structured information. Our goal is to be able to offer a bundling function of the incredibly committed 3D printing industry, which can be accessed by pandemic working groups or medical technology departments of hospitals at regional and central level.
We are currently in contact with relevant suppliers in the medical technology sector to identify any support needs. We are also networking with higher-level pandemic task forces in order to be able to match supply and demand in a coordinated manner.
Our preferred channels of communication will be our website and LinkedIn, which we will use for regular information. We would like to thank you once again for your dedicated, generous and above all quick feedback!
You are great!
Your 3D printing expertise is needed – Urgent request from the European Commission
Currently, masks and ventilators for respiratory equipment are urgently needed to combat the corona crisis.
Here 3D printing can help!
The European Commission has called for printed components to be made available. We have compiled all the information available to us here. The German coordination is carried out by the vdi, to which we will forward your requests.
As this is also an open source file, it also offers help for self-help.
